Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis Resigns

He will transition to faculty

Ohio University President Dr. M. Duane Nellis announced Thursday that he is stepping down from his role on June 30, 2021. He will transition to faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Nellis took office as the 21^st President of Ohio University in 2017. His career in higher education spans four decades, including 11 years as university president.

He said the timing is right for not only Ohio University, but his family as well.
