Shipt CEO Expects Permanent Changes from COVID-19

COVID-19 ushered in a new era in app-based shopping, same-day delivery

It's been a year since COVID-19 transformed the same-day delivery business, forcing millions of Americans to rely on app-based shopping for their daily needs.

And Shipt CEO Kelly Caruso doesn’t expect that to end, even as virus restrictions relax and life resumes its pre-pandemic pace.

Last week, Caruso participated in a panel discussion with Jeff Pilof, senior vice president of the supply chain for CVS. The event was hosted by the National Retail Federation during its 4-day virtual event, NRF Converge. Discussion ranged over how retailers and delivery companies are working together and what the future might look like.
