COVID-19 Update: 1,269 New Cases Reported Today

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 1,269 new cases of COVID-19 and 55 new hospitalizations. The agency did not report any additional deaths.

On August 8, 2021, the ODH also reported that more than 50 percent of the state's population have started the COVID-19 vaccination process.

ODH also reported 1,143,599 confirmed cases, 20,556 deaths and 62,575 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 1,095,495 presumed recoveries and indicated approximately 5,845,986 people had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
