COVID-19 Update: 7,102 New Cases Reported Today

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 7,102 new cases of COVID-19 and 242 new hospitalizations. This figure includes a backlog of 1,021 cases as the result of a laboratory reporting delay between the dates of August 15-25. According to a release from ODH, the case reporting issue has been resolved. The agency did not report any additional deaths.

ODH also reported 1,228,002 confirmed cases, 20,866 deaths and 66,013 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 1,131,310 presumed recoveries and indicated approximately 6,081,989 people had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
