Ohio River Surfing Association Forming to Combat River Pollution, Illegal Dumping

It aims to safeguard Ohio's rivers by preserving waters across the state

A Dayton nonprofit is taking initiative to clean up the city's rivers.

In just under a month after establishing itself as a nonprofit, the Ohio River Surfing Association is taking the necessary steps to safeguard Ohio's rivers by preserving waters across the state from debris and illegal dumping.

"The more awareness we can bring to here the better," Eric Jones, president of the Ohio River Surfing Association said. "I really feel like we can make some small changes that are going to have a huge impact on water quality and overall health for everyone. Eventually, it's going to affect you."
