Understanding when a merger is right for your organization

How do you know if a merger or collaboration with another nonprofit will be good for your nonprofit organization?

It makes sense to keep tabs on organizations that are competing with you for donation dollars. Your organization’s survival may depend on it. You may decide to initiate arrangements to work along-side some of your competitors. These collaborative efforts may produce beneficial results for all organizations and more efficiently fulfill both nonprofits’ missions.
