Masks Now Required for Indoor Public Spaces in Columbus

The new order is effective immediately, regardless of vaccination status

Today, Columbus mayor Andrew Ginther signed an executive order requiring that people wear masks in public indoor spaces, regardless of their vaccination status.

The new order takes effect immediately; according to Ginther, it will be similar to the one that was previously in place.

The order applies to everyone ages 6 and older, according to a release from Ginther's office. Exemptions include anyone with medical or behavioral conditions that prevent them from safely wearing a mask.
