To reduce voluntary turnover, which 39 percent of organizations believe will increase greatly or moderately this year, organizations seek to re-imagine several elements of human capital management. Career development sits at the top of the list.
Overall, less than one-third of organizations believe they have an effective career development program.
That requires organizational commitment, strategies, and technology that align career development with learning and performance, and empowers employees to own or actively participate in their career development. That is not present with most employers surveyed in Brandon Hall Group’s research.
