Congresswoman Jackie Walorski of Indiana died in a car accident on Wednesday, U.S. House of Representatives Republican leader Kevin McCarthy said.
Three other people were killed in the crash, a collision of two vehicles near the Indiana town of Nappanee, north of Indianapolis, ABC57 TV reported, citing a police statement.
The TV station and other local media said the others killed included Walorski's communications director Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts, a local Republican county chair.
