Governance Manager

Position Summary: 

Ohio Insurance Agents Association, Inc. (OIA) is seeking a Governance Manager (GM) to assist OIA volunteer and staff leadership in executing the strategic vision of the organization. The GM provides administrative leadership support to the volunteer leaders and staff for OIA’s non-profit and for-profit entities including board management, meeting planning for board meetings and retreats, creating and managing the process to attract and develop future volunteer leaders, and the annual awards ceremony.

Education and Experience

Broad knowledge of association management including governance, accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, membership, etc. Equivalent to four years of college, plus two years related experience and/or training, and two years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in executive management and/or non-profit governance. Experience in planning and organizing meetings. Ability to recognize and protect confidential information and to work independently with little supervision.
