Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many non-profits had to shut down or call a halt to volunteer activities. As a result, many are now struggling to reestablish our volunteer bases.

Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the Ohio National Guard and a skeleton crew of volunteers, Mid-Ohio Food Collective remained open and, despite serving record high numbers, never had to turn anyone away.

The Mid-Ohio Food Collective is used to routinely hosting more than 13,000 volunteers; yet, we saw our numbers dwindle to just over 2,000 volunteers. With the departure of the ONG in early July, the relaxation of pandemic restrictions and employees trickling back to the office, now is the time for action!
