ASAE’s Election Preparedness Initiative Helps Prepare for What’s Next

News,

The 2026 midterm elections will shape the next Congress, committee leadership and the policy environment associations face in 2027. ASAE’s Election Preparedness Initiative is designed to help members navigate that transition with timely intelligence, practical tools, tested messaging and opportunities to strengthen their advocacy.

Beginning before Election Day and continuing into the new year, the initiative will help association leaders anticipate governing scenarios and turn insight into action. Upcoming programs include:

  • Nov. 13, 2026 — ForesightWorks Webinar: A program for CEOs and senior executives exploring what the election results signal for trust, trade, fiscal policy, AI, research funding and the workplace, featuring a CEO panel.
  • Jan. 21, 2027 — New Congress, New Landscape: What Associations Need to Know: Insights into the new Congress and its committees, emerging advocacy opportunities and strategies for building relationships with congressional offices.
  • Feb. 24–25, 2027 — Public Policy Forum & Legislative Fly-in: A policy outlook, new research and Trust Associations tools, followed by advocacy training and coordinated congressional meetings on Feb. 25.

A pivotal part of ASAE’s Trust Associations campaign, the initiative will also help members demonstrate how associations strengthen industries, professions and society. Members can participate in the new Key Contacts program, which engages association leaders with relationships in priority committees, districts and states; invite ASAE's Public Policy team to speak at a fly-in or conference and share their organization's impact through Trust Associations.

Association leaders bring expertise, community connections and practical solutions to the policy conversation. Your participation will help ensure the association community is informed, prepared and ready to lead in the new governing environment.
