ATA Recognizes 12 Trucking Leaders, including OSAP Member Tom Balzer, CAE, for Service to Industry

News,

On Oct. 20, the American Trucking Associations' (ATA) Trucking Association Executives Council recognized 12 trucking leaders for their service to the industry and to the ATA Federation.

"I am especially proud to recognize this year's honorees because I have had the privilege of serving alongside many of them throughout my career," said Chris Maxwell, president & CEO of the Rhode Island Trucking Association and chairman of TAEC. "Having spent 15 years in this role myself, I know state trucking association executives are often the first call members make when challenges arise and the driving force behind advocacy and outreach efforts. The many decades these leaders have committed to the trucking industry have helped build a collaborative, results-focused culture. Their enumerable contributions have strengthened our organizations, our industry, and the ATA federation we are proud to be part of.”

Among the 12 executives recognized by ATA and TAEC this year was one OSAP member and OSAP Foundation board member:

  • Ohio Trucking Association President & CEO Tom Balzer, CAE for his 20 years of industry service
