Columbus Humane Terminates Nine Employees from its 72-person Staff
Columbus Humane confirmed with 10TV it laid off nine of its 72-person staff due to economic challenges.
The animal shelter said the decision was made on Jan. 15 to financially restructure and ensure the long-term stability of the nonprofit.
"Unfortunately, nonprofits across the country are facing a mounting series of economic challenges, and we at Columbus Humane are not immune to those issues," a spokesperson for the nonprofit said. "Workforce reductions occurred organization-wide at Columbus Humane, affecting multiple departments and position levels."
