Commissioners Approve Agreement with Fire Chiefs Association

News,

During the Darke County Commissioners regular session on Aug. 13, the Darke County Commissioners approved a vehicle maintenance agreement. This agreement is between the Board of Darke County Commissioners and Darke County Fire Chiefs Association.

In this agreement, the Fire Chiefs Association will receive services and repairs of all vehicle components such as brakes, electrical systems, mufflers, exhaust systems, engine blocks, alternators, starters, air compressors and more. The Fire Chiefs Association will pay the hourly rate of service, which is $65 for routine maintenance and mechanical/electrical repair at $140. Other things such as labor for oil, patch tire, rotation only tires, brakes and more have a flat rate of billing.

"They would like us to help support some of their vehicles," said Commission Vice Chairman Aaron Flatter. "This is an agreement we have to put in place to do that."
