Position Overview

The Communications Manager will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies across multiple client associations. This role requires a versatile professional who can seamlessly manage projects ranging from email campaigns and social media content to event promotion and member newsletters, all while maintaining each client's unique brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns for client associations, including member communications, event promotions and educational content
  • Manage social media accounts across multiple platforms, creating engaging content that drives member engagement and supports organizational goals
  • Design and produce client newsletters, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content that informs and connects members
  • Create marketing materials for client programs, services, and events using graphic design skills
  • Collaborate with client leadership and Bennett team members to align communications with strategic objectives
  • Track and analyze communication metrics to measure effectiveness and inform future strategies
  • Maintain brand consistency across all client communications and channels
  • Support event promotion and on-site communication needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in communications or marketing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design with working knowledge of design software (Canva or similar platforms)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and social media management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with trade associations, professional associations, or nonprofit organizations
  • Knowledge of association management practices and member engagement strategies
  • Familiarity with content management systems and marketing automation tools

Work Environment

This is a remote position based in the Columbus, Ohio area. The role requires regular in-person attendance at team meetings in our Columbus office and periodic presence at client events throughout the region. Flexibility and reliable transportation are essential.
