Cory-Rawson Graduate Elected President of OVMA
Dr. Amanda Wagner of Wapakoneta has assumed the role of president of the board of directors of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA). She formally accepted the gavel of the OVMA presidency from outgoing president Dr. Michelle Harcha during the association's annual business meeting on Feb. 28.
A 2013 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Wagner is a mixed animal practitioner and part-owner at Tri-County Veterinary Service in Anna. She chairs the MVC’s Food Animal Education Committee and is a member of the Upper Valley Career Center Veterinary Science Advisory Committee.
As president, Wagner will guide the association's 21-member board of directors, which is tasked with overseeing the resources of the organization, implementing its strategic goals and establishing official positions on legislative issues of interest. The office comes with a one-year term, which began March 1.
