DeWine Declares State of Emergency for 19 Counties after Severe Storms

Gov. Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency for 19 counties after recent severe storms and flooding left damage across the state.

DeWine signed the proclamation Tuesday afternoon after meeting with local officials and residents in Vinton County, which saw substantial flooding.

The state of emergency covers the following counties: Athens, Clermont, Gallia, Greene, Highland, Jackson, Logan, Meigs, Mercer, Montgomery, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Van Wert and Vinton.
