DeWine Orders Ohio Flags to Fly at Half-staff in Honor of Dolly Parton's Nonprofit Work
Governor Mike DeWine ordered that all flags at state buildings be flown at half-staff Tuesday in honor of country music legend Dolly Parton.
The music icon and philanthropist died at the age of 80, her family announced on social media Tuesday.
DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine worked with Parton to bring her education nonprofit Imagination Library to the Buckeye state. Through the program, inspired by her father who was illiterate, children received free books in the mail.
