Long gone are the days when your major recruitment concern was beating another human to the job. Today, in the age of AI, candidates must overcome automated hurdles before they even reach the interview process. What is more, many of these job seekers are using AI-enabled tools to try to game the recruitment process.
Recent research from MyPerfectResume revealed that 73 percent of employers use AI in hiring decisions, with about two-thirds (65 percent) saying AI automatically rejects applicants before a person sees them.
On the other side of the recruitment process, almost three-quarters (73 percent) of younger people who responded to a survey by education specialist Jisc said they used AI in their job applications, particularly for editing or drafting CVs and writing cover letters.
