John Ruckman Elected Vice President of Ohio Auctioneers Association

John Ruckman of Mount Vernon has been elected vice president of the Ohio Auctioneers Association for the 2026 term following a vote of the membership at the association’s annual conference held Jan. 9-10 in Columbus.

Ruckman is the owner and principal auctioneer of The Ruckman Group Auctions & Appraisals and has been actively involved in the Ohio Auctioneers Association for several years. He previously served as a director and then treasurer of the association, where he provided financial oversight and contributed to long-term fiscal planning. His election to vice president reflects continued confidence from his peers in his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the auction industry.

As vice president, Ruckman will assist in guiding the association’s strategic direction, supporting education and professional development and upholding ethical standards for auctioneers across Ohio. In addition to these duties, he will participate in legislative activities as they relate to Ohio auctioneers and the state’s auctioneer licensing framework.
