Instagram is cracking down on artificial intelligence (AI) influencers.
In May, the Meta-owned platform rolled out its "AI creator" label to better help its users identify profiles featuring synthetic creators. Now it’s rebranding the label to "AI-generated profile."
Instagram said the update is part of the company's larger transparency efforts, particularly in how users decipher hyper-realistic synthetic creators from real ones, per a press release published on Monday.
