Most Workers Are Working on Sundays

Nearly three-quarters of workers (74 percent) work on Sunday, including 21 percent who work a full or near-full day, according to Owl Labs' 10^th annual State of Hybrid Work report.

The trend is far more common among younger generations, with 76 percent of Gen Z workers and 62 percent of Millennials saying they often work on Sunday, compared to 34 percent of Baby Boomers and 42 percent of Gen Xers.

The report says AI adoption may partly explain the spread of Sunday work. Nearly two-thirds (62 percent) of respondents said AI has increased what they are expected to accomplish in a day, and 46 percent say it sometimes hinders their productivity.
