Ohio Lawmakers Propose Study Commission to Address Data Center Growth

Ohio lawmakers are moving to create a study commission to examine the rapid expansion of data centers across the state.

State Rep. Gary Click has introduced House Bill 646 to establish a Data Center Study Commission. The legislation comes as approximately 200 data centers operate statewide, with more than 100 located in central Ohio alone, according to Data Center Map.

"I think people deserve to have the answers. I work for my constituents," Click said.
