Ohio State University, Coca-Cola Partner on Sustainability Programs

The Ohio State University, Coca-Cola Consolidated and The Coca-Cola Company have launched a multi-year, student-driven sustainability partnership focused on energy innovation, recycling and waste reduction.

The initiative connects Ohio State students with beverage industry leaders to explore practical solutions for improving energy efficiency, strengthening waste diversion and supporting circular economy goals.

Following a campus waste characterization study, four programs launched in early 2026: a Sustainable Energy Accelerator, a Student Experience Research Accelerator, a Student Experience Technology Push Program and a year-long Zero Waste Challenge at the Ohio Union.
