Ohio Student Association Starts ‘Save Our Scholarships’ Campaign
During Kent State’s Ohio Student Association (OSA) meeting, Jan. 28, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) dropped a press release regarding particular effects of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) on identity centers and the campus community. Notably, it brought up the reorganization of resources after the locations that provided them were disbanded.
This acknowledgment brought tears, hope and cheer to many members, as this could be a sign that their goal was closer and more attainable than they realized. The USG message confirmed that many students desired to have these resources made easily available.
OSA's new slogan is "the price of a coffee could save your classmates from eviction." The group’s newly founded campaign titled "Save Our Scholarships" was created in response to SB 1.
