President Pledges to Create an 'AI Force' and Appoint a Czar for National Oversight

President Donald Trump said he is planning to create an "AI Force" and appoint an AI czar to oversee the development of artificial intelligence technology.

The president announced his plans Saturday in a post on his social media page.

The plan comes after several developers have raised red flags to show their concern about the extreme speed of the advancement without a clear understanding of what it is capable of doing or guardrails in place to stop it from getting out of control.
