Person with What Appeared to be a Gun Arrested outside U.S. Capitol

A person with what appeared to be a gun was arrested near the front of the U.S. Capitol today in Washington, D.C., according to Capitol police.

"There does not appear to be any other suspects or ongoing threat," police said.

Both chambers of Congress are out of session this week.
