Recall: 37 Million Pounds of Various Food Products May Contain Glass

A recent frozen food recall has now been expanded to include 33 million more pounds of products - including Trader Joe's and Kroger-branded items - that may be contaminated with glass.
The product's distributor, Oregon-based Ajinomoto Foods North America, has since expanded the recall to include 16 products, including fried rice, ramen, and shu mai dumpling dishes, totaling nearly 37 million pounds of food overall.
Multiple versions of the Kroger Chinese Inspirations Chicken Fried Rice were added to the recall, along with the following products from Trader Joe's:
- Chicken Fried Rice - Best By Dates 03/04/2026 through 02/10/2027
- Vegetable Fried Rice - Best By Dates 02/28/2026 through 11/19/2026
- Japanese Style Fried Rice - Best By Dates 02/28/2026 through 11/14/2026
- Chicken Shu Mai - Best By Dates 03/13/2026 through 10/23/2026
