Safety Alert: Lentil Soup Cans Sold in 28 States Recalled over Spoil Risk
More than 184,000 cans of lentil soup sold in 28 states and parts of Canada are under recall because they might spoil.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued the recall alert June 22 for Amy's Organic Soups Lentil Light in sodium cans. The recall was classified as a Class II on July 14.
According to the agency, a Class II recall is "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote."
