When you are giving a presentation or engaged in a meeting, one of your most important skills is the ability to adapt when the unexpected happens.

If you are presenting as a member of a group—perhaps in a sales presentation or a global forum—it is even more important to be mentally present and prepared to adapt to what your colleagues say or do.
