The AI Confession Booth: What Employees Don't Talk About with Their Bosses

​At recent events that Forbes hosted, called Kaltura Connect on the Road 2026, it offered something unusual: a confession booth where attendees could anonymously tell an AI avatar via reactive video what they truly felt about AI. Following more than 100 conversations between attendees and the avatar, the pattern was clear and it didn’t entirely match up with the public discourse.​

People weren't confessing that they fear AI will take their jobs. They were confessing something more revealing.

Person after person described a similar emotional state—the conviction that they should already know more, paired with the suspicion that everyone around them already does. They talked about questions they were afraid to ask, about feeling behind and about nodding along to terminology they couldn't define.
