Trust Associations: Lend Your Voice, Share Your Impact

Associations strengthen professions, support communities and improve lives. Ensuring that policymakers and opinion leaders understand that impact takes a sustained, collective effort—and association members have an essential role to play.

In August, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) board approved a strategic investment to make Trust Associations a cornerstone initiative, advancing the Grow Influence and Impact pillar of ASAE's new strategic framework. OSAP has been supporting the Trust Associations campaign since late 2025.

Launched last year to help protect the association community’s tax treatment on Capitol Hill, Trust Associations helped amplify coordinated advocacy with the Community Impact Coalition that kept harmful proposals out of the eventual tax legislation. That success demonstrated the strength of our collective voice. This investment builds on that momentum, deepening understanding of associations' contributions and trust in the people and organizations behind them.

Consistent with ASAE's commitment to co-create solutions with members, Trust Associations is a call for the entire community to tell its stories more boldly, elevate the people we serve and demonstrate why our work matters. Every example of an association advancing its profession or strengthening its community helps make that shared story more compelling.
