How to Bake a Chocolate Cake
Baking a chocolate cake is simple and fun. Follow these steps to make a delicious cake:
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add water, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and vinegar to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before frosting or serving.
