The global oil benchmark hit $115 a barrel today as Iran keeps up its retaliatory strikes on Middle East energy infrastructure, including sites in Israel and Qatar. As prices soar, the U.S. could "unsanction" some Iranian oil and may release more from its strategic reserve.

Sources told CNN the U.S. was aware of Israel's plan to strike the South Pars field in Iran, despite President Donald Trump stating otherwise.

In other news related to the U.S./Israel war with Iran, an F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at a U.S. air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, sources told CNN. U.S. Central Command said the pilot is in stable condition.
