Black Bear Sightings Occurred in Northeast Ohio This Week

From Cuyahoga County down to Ashland County, black bears have been spotted this past week in Northeast Ohio.

On July 5, the Pepper Pike Police Department shared video of a black bear casually strolling across a homeowner’s driveway on Lawton Lane. The sighting was captured on a Ring camera just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Pepper Pike Police took the opportunity to remind the public to give bears plenty of space and to never approach, feed, or attempt to photograph a bear up close.
