OABA, Ohio State Introduce Custom Applicator Training Program for Beginning Applicators

News,

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) Custom Applicator Training Program is designed to provide high-quality, hands-on training for individuals who are new to professional application, with up to three years of experience.

Offered in partnership with CFAES, this four-day course focuses on developing the technical, regulatory and professional skills required of today’s applicators. Instruction includes liquid and dry application techniques, stewardship and safety practices, evolving regulations, technology use and the critical role applicators play in customer service and business success.

The course is limited to 30 participants, allowing for meaningful interaction with instructors and hands-on learning opportunities. Registration is coordinated by company, with a maximum of three participants per company. Additional participants may be placed on a wait-list if space allows.

Participants will have the opportunity to sit for the Ohio Pesticide Certification Test, offered by the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA), on the final afternoon of the program.
