ODOT Announces Dozens of New Sites for EV Charging Stations across Ohio
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced 64 new locations selected for electric vehicle charging stations across the state.
As part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, which was established by the Biden-Harris administration, ODOT will award $51 million to developers to install and operate the new charging stations at various businesses. The NEVI funding will also be supplemented with more than $26 million from selected private developers.
ODOT says these new charging sites will include at least four charger ports with 150 kilowatts of power for each port. The locations will also be accessible to other amenities like restrooms and food.
