Ohio BWC Revamps its C-9 Form
The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) recently announced that it has updated its C‑9 form; according to the BWC, the revamped version brings a more consistent and efficient experience for medical providers and employers.
The agency said key improvements include removing outdated restrictions on self‑insured claims, providing clearer guidance for requesting additional conditions and streamlining the layout to make information submission more intuitive.
The updated form also clarifies that decisions on additional allowance requests are issued separately from the C‑9 itself. With refreshed instructions and improved flow, the new C‑9 aims to reduce confusion, to improve processing efficiency and to create a smoother and more universal experience across claim types.
The BWC has made more information available on its website.
