Peace Talks in the Iran War May Resume This Week

News,

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that U.S.-Iran peace talks may resume "over the next two days" in Pakistan; however, he was not pleased with the offer of a 20-year suspension of Tehran's nuclear enrichment program made last weekend by his chief negotiator, Vice President JD Vance.

In an interview with The New York Post, Trump advised reporters who covered unsuccessful negotiations that ended Sunday to stay in Islamabad "because something could be happening over the next two days, and we're more inclined to go there" rather than other suggested venues, including Geneva.

He failed to say whether Vance would continue to lead the negotiating team, which included White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law.
