Subaru Recalls Nearly 70,000 Vehicles Due to Fire Risk
Last week, Subaru issued a voluntary recall for nearly 70,000 vehicles due to the risk of a potential fuel leak that can increase the risk of a fire.
The affected vehicles are 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid and 2025 Forester Hybrid — a total of 69,153 vehicles.
According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report: If a vehicle is left parked when the fuel tank is near full capacity and the vehicle is exposed to a significant rise in temperature that increases fuel temperatures and tank pressure, fuel may leak from the filler cap.
