Toledo Leaders Unite to Boost Downtown Events and Economic Impact in 2026

Downtown Toledo's leading organizations are launching a coordinated effort they say will strengthen business, tourism and overall energy in the city’s core areas throughout 2026.

Leaders from the city of Toledo, Lucas County, Destination Toledo, Metroparks Toledo, the Downtown Toledo Improvement District and ConnecToledo are aligning their event calendars under a single strategy. The goal: stop planning separately and start activating together.

Rather than adding new events, organizers plan to build momentum by layering and cross-promoting existing ones that already draw large crowds. Those include St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the first Party in the Park of the season, Opening Day for the Toledo Mud Hens, Jeepfest and a new event called Pickle Mania.
