Trump Administration Asks SCOTUS to Allow EO Restricting Mail-in Voting
The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on Monday to clear the way for an executive order (EO) from President Donald Trump that could dramatically change mail-in voting.
The emergency appeal comes after an appeals court upheld a ruling blocking the president’s EO in nearly half the country ahead of November’s midterm elections.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) asked the court to allow the proposed changes to move ahead while lawsuits play out.
