OSU to Promote Ravi Bellamkonda as Next University President, Source Says

The Ohio State University (OSU) is set to announce its next president following Ted Carter, Jr.'s resignation, and it is a familiar face.

Ohio State spokesperson Ben Johnson told 10TV that Executive Vice President and Provost Ravi Bellamkonda will be named the institution's 18^th president. News on who would become the next provost will be announced at a later time.

The news follows Carter's abrupt resignation earlier this week. Carter stepped down Monday after disclosing an "inappropriate relationship" with someone seeking public resources for their private business.
