Director of Education, Workforce & Foundation
The Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association is seeking a Director of Education, Workforce & Foundation, providing an opportunity to lead education & workforce initiatives for a dynamic industry with a diverse and multidisciplinary employee base.
The role includes developing, managing and executing initiatives related to talent pipeline, promoting the desirability & variety of industry careers, coordinating training offerings, maximizing the value of education programs to lodging businesses and oversight of a 501(c)(3) education foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building relationships with schools and organizations to boost hotel employment.
- Leveraging programs from providers to increase offerings.
- Promoting apprenticeships and mentorships
- Expansion of scholarship fund
- Strategic direction on future workforce needs
- Development of underwriting & sponsorship
- Managing programs to promote women in our industry
- Oversight of volunteer committees
- Management of (c)(3) foundation
- Networking with industry partners
- Providing content for communications
Requirements for This Position:
- Related experience with education & workforce programs preferred, especially in a professional association capacity
- Hotel and industry experience considered
- Four-year degree or equivalent
- Helpful are knowledge of association management systems and databases; customer service background or training; and event experience
